This 'Golden Dragon Art - Blue-Eyed Golden Dragon Beneath A Flaming Red Sky Canvas Print' is a feast for the eyes!

Look directly into his cold, blue eye and know for sure that he means business.

See the flames leap from his cavernous jaws, admire the details and feel yourself drift into the flaming red sky backdrop.

If you look closely then you can see the little specks of fire ash, that all of us remember from bonfires. This is the background to a building atmosphere of power and passion, because the great unifying feature of all Dragons is that they are awe-inspiring and instill a sense of respect, not only from the way they look, but the whole presence that they have.

If you met our gold friend in a dark alley then you would certainly know about it!

Golden Dragons have been mythologised about for literally thousands of years. You can find them written about in ancient Chinese texts, and Dragon artefacts have been unearthed in China from as far back as 4700 BC.

They are much more then simply a creature that breathes flames and flies in the sky.

They have always been seen in Eastern cultures as a cultural and spiritual icon that are representative of both good luck and prosperity.

In fact, there has been a long tradition of talk about 'dragon bones' in many ancient texts, presumably where the bones of dinosaurs have been taken to be those of dragons (perhaps they were :-))

In terms of their color. It is said of Dragons that they are able to change color at will in order to seamlessly blend into their surroundings, both as a form of camouflage, and in the case of the gold color, to be able to glow in the dark.

Historically also, in the case of Chinese Dragons, they were often symbols for the Emperors power, and were painted on everything from plates to wall tapestries.

The gold, or yellow color Imperial Dragon , was used during the Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1912) for example, as a direct symbol of the Emperor's power, and (as many of us know from watching 'Game of Thrones'!) the imperial throne was referred to as the 'Dragon Throne'.

This artwork print then is a great journey into mysticism, magic and wonder and will make a fantastic addition to your walls.

Enjoy the vibrancy of the colors and the way the golden scales seem to pop-out from the canvas.
